Meet Garrett Long, the winner of our VIP Weekend In Stowe contest!
Long skis mostly at Killington and the Quechee Ski Hill, traveling to Vermont from southern Connecticut, on the weekends. With his wife, Long tries to ski every weekend between opening day in November and the spring laps in May on Superstar. He averages about 40 days a year.
As the President of the US Telemark Ski Association, his telemark races take him across Vermont and New England, and he’s skied at the following Vermont resorts: Killington, Pico, Quechee, Bromley, Mad River, Sugarbush, Mt Snow, Suicide Six, the Hermitage Club, Stratton, Okemo, Jay Peak and Smugglers Notch.
Long has won a pair of Renoun skis, two nights at Stowe’s TopNotch Resort, a roundtrip flight from Westchester to Stowe on Tradewind Aviation lift tickets to Stowe Mountain Resort and summer attractions and dinner at Trapp Family Lodge’s Bierhall. He’s excited to check Stowe, one of the few places he hasn’t skied in Vermont, off his list.
