Vermont’s Largest Ski and Snowboard Sale Returns to Bolton Valley

Bolton is offering plenty of events this Labor Day, including a ski and snowboard sale with amazing deals on gear.  

BOLTON VALLEY, Vt.  Bolton Valley Ski Area is saluting summer and prepping for winter this Labor Day weekend, with a line-up of events for mountain lovers of all ages.

Vermont’s largest ski and snowboard sale returns to the ski area again this year beginning Aug. 28 and will showcase more than $1 million in ski and snowboard inventory, all at huge savings. Top manufacturer products will be sold at tremendous values,. The sale will include  skis, snowboards, clothing, and accessories for the whole family.  Expert boot fitting and binding technicians will be on site for the sale.

During the sale, Bolton Valley staff will be printing and selling 2014-15 Bolton Valley Season Passes, and skier and riders can sign up for season-long equipment leases and season-long ski and ride school programs. All 2014-15 Bolton Valley Season Pass Holders receive an extra five percent off on items purchased at the ski and snowboard sale. The Sports Center, located at the opposite end of the parking lot from the main base area, is the venue for the sale again this year.

“The deals are always tremendous at this sale,” said Josh Arneson, sales and marketing director for Bolton Valley. “It’s a great way to get pre-season deals on equipment and clothing, especially for the kiddos who continue to outgrow their winter gear. The Saturday of Labor Day Weekend will be jam-packed with not only the sale, but also a benefit 5K and a fun Hop Jam with tasty brews and live music. It’s a great way to wrap up summer and get ready for winter all at the same time.”

Hours for the ski and snowboard sale are as follows: Aug. 28, 4 – 8 p.m.; Aug. 29, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Aug. 30, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Aug. 31, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Sept. 1, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.; Sept. 5, Noon – 8 p.m.; Sept. 6, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.; and Sept. 7, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The Bolton Valley 5K trail run and walk to benefit Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports takes place on Bolton’s Nordic Trails on Saturday, Aug. 30beginning at 9 a.m. It’s a scenic run or walk that proceeds primarily through wooded trails with moderate up and down grades. New for 2014 is a free kids fun dash. This will be an untimed run open to kids ages 8 and under, and all kiddos will receive a medal for participating. All proceeds will be donated to Vermont Adaptive. Participants are asked to preregister through Active.com. A raffle and the Awards Ceremony will occur immediately post race.

Immediately following the 5K, Bolton Valley will kick off its Labor Day weekend Hop Jam. Gates open at 11 a.m. and music begins at noon, featuring a line up of live music plus top quality beer and food. Featured music includes JP Harris & the Tough Choices, Soule Monde, Primate Fiasco, Spirit Family Reunion and the Alchemystics.
