Where To Ski In May
Looking to get some final spring skiing in? Here’s where to go in late April and May.
April 29 | Killington Triathlon
It wouldn’t be a Killington-style triathlon if it didn’t include skiing. Ski down Superstar trail before running a 5K, then mountain bike on the mountain’s trails. Killington will close for the season on June 1. killington.com
April 29-May 1 | Ski and Golf At Sugarbush
One resort, two seasons. Sugarbush reopens a few of its slopes for the weekend (Stein’s Run, Snowball, Spring Fling and Coffee Run), while the golf course opens for the season. sugarbush.com.
May 1 | May Day Slalom, Killington
Competitors ski or ride down a slalom course mid-way down Superstar trail. This race is timed and free to anyone with a lift ticket or season pass. killington.com
May 27 | Peace Pipe Rail Jam, Mount Snow
Carinthia Parks opens again for their free annual end-of-season rail jam with a rail garden at the base of Inferno. Hot dogs and refreshments on-site. mountsnow.com
Jay Peak still has fuel in the tank for one last week of spring skiing. The mountain will close for the season on May 7. jaypeakresort.com
